Danaea alata

Danaea alata Sm. occurs in the Lesser Antilles and Venezuela. It is recognized by its widely spaced simple venation. The fronds have many elongated pinnae, which are much lighter below, and have a coarsely serrulate apex. The rhizome is creeping and the stipe nodose.
